Registration Open | Three Awards Await! The 3rd "GETshow Cup" China Sound Engineer Competition Welcomes You

A memorable performance relies on far more than the performers on stage. It is the sound engineers who manage live audio, guarantee the show’s impact, and make brilliance truly audible! Sound engineers play a decisive role in the success or failure of a show. They are magicians of sound, quietly working behind the scenes, largely unseen.

This time, the 3rd "GETshow Cup" China Sound Engineer Competition, initiated by Industry Association of South China Entertainment Equipment (SCEE) and co-hosted by China Stage Art Society, is officially launched! We are turning the spotlight onto sound engineers. Outstanding sound engineers are welcome to take centre stage in our industry, so their outstanding craft can be heard!

Youth Power, Shine Bright

Eligible Participants

Candidates must be tuners or system engineers whose main field of study or job role relates to professional live sound reinforcement for performance projects. They may concurrently hold other positions including sound designer, audio designer, audio director, etc.

Note: To offer more opportunities for practitioners, past winners of this competition are required to wait for a two‑year interval before submitting a new application.

Application Period

From now until 31 December 2026

Judging Period

1 January – 31 January 2027

How to Enter

Applications can be submitted via self‑nomination, or recommendation by organisations or industry experts. Recommenders must fully complete the Recommendation Form and guarantee that all information provided is objective and authentic.

Three Prestigious Awards Await!

Adopting a rigorous and well‑structured judging system, the competition panel consists of leading national authorities in the sound industry. Candidates will be assessed comprehensively across multiple dimensions including professional skills, innovation capacity and contributions to the industry, to ensure every honour stands up to professional scrutiny. Three awards are set for this competition:

Audio Engineer of the Year 2026 (10 winners)

Young Rising Star Audio Engineer of the Year 2026 (5 winners)

Best Audio System Engineer of the Year 2027 (5 winners)

Winners of this competition will receive a complimentary invitation to attend GETshow, the world‑renowned entertainment technology exhibition in Guangzhou, from 24 to 27 February 2027. You will get to network with global industry elites, specialists and enterprise leaders on site.
