GETshow, Embracing the Future, Radiating Brilliance | Delegation of Guangdong Entertainment Equipment Industry Chamber of Commerce Visits Yinchuan for Exchange Activities
To strengthen the connection and cooperation between upstream and downstream industrial chains of Guangdong and Ningxia, a delegation led by Chen Yanshan, Secretary-General of the Industry Association of South China Entertainment Equipment (SCEE), visited Yinchuan for exchanges on the afternoon of October 19. They gathered with experts from Yinchuan Stage Art Association and local industry elites to renew friendship, discuss cooperation and pursue development, exploring new paths for the coordinated growth of the entertainment industry.

This forum was hosted by Mr. Liu Xiaodong, Executive Vice President of the Yinchuan Stage Art Association. He extended a warm welcome to Secretary-General Chen Yanshan and her delegation from the Industry Association of South China Entertainment Equipment (SCEE). He expressed the hope that this forum would serve as an opportunity to facilitate regular exchanges, frequent interactions and in-depth cooperation between the industries of the two regions.

Mr. Yi Yuping, President of Yinchuan Stage Art Association, began by thanking the SCEE for its care and support for the performing arts and cultural undertakings in Ningxia. He outlined the current development of Ningxia’s cultural industry and shared the work of Yinchuan Stage Art Association in promoting technical exchanges within the sector and mobilising its panel of experts to provide intellectual support. He highlighted the China-Arab States Training Programme for Stage Professionals, and expressed gratitude to SCEE for its strong backing of this initiative. Looking ahead, he hopes to leverage SCEE and GETshow — this international exhibition platform — to launch more technical exchange activities and talent training programmes, enabling cutting-edge entertainment technology and artistic creativity to achieve profound integration across boundaries.

Ms. Chen Yanshan, Secretary-General of the Industry Association of South China Entertainment Equipment (SCEE), began by thanking President Yi and all the experts for their warm reception and continuous strong support for SCEE and GETshow.
She gave a detailed introduction to the association. Over 85% of China’s total output value of professional stage lighting and audio enterprises are based in Guangdong, forming a market landscape summed up by the notion: “World entertainment equipment looks to China, and China’s entertainment equipment looks to Guangdong.”
Since 2011, responding to practical industry demands, the association has been hosting a non-profit industry exhibition locally — the Guangzhou Entertainment Technology Show (GETshow). To date, GETshow has been successfully held for 14 editions, drawing over one million professional visitors from more than 100 countries and regions worldwide for visits and procurement.

The preparations for 2027 GETshow are well underway. The exhibition will cover 140,000 square metres, with more than 1,000 renowned global brands set to take part. Building on existing partnerships with authoritative national industry associations and major art universities across China, SCEE will organise the 5th GETshow Cup Young Stage Lighting Designer Competition and the 3rd GETshow Cup China Audio Engineer Competition, to foster talent development and empower the whole industry.
Secretary-General Chen Yanshan extended a sincere invitation to all participants to engage in the diverse programmes of 2027 GETshow. She encouraged them to nominate outstanding talents for the GETshow Cup competitions and organise professional visiting delegations. She looks forward to welcoming experts, contractors, system integrators and industry professionals from Ningxia to GETshow in Guangzhou from 24 to 27 February 2027. They will have opportunities to connect with premium supply chains, access cross-industry resources, share new market opportunities and jointly shape a promising future for the sector.

The discussion was held in a relaxed and enthusiastic atmosphere. Participants spoke freely about emerging scenarios in cultural tourism performances, the integration of technology and art, and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Arab states. All agreed that Guangdong boasts mature products, technologies and supply chains, while Ningxia features distinctive cultural tourism scenarios and promising market potential. The two regions are naturally complementary across the industrial chain. They expressed the hope that, via GETshow — the international exhibition hosted by SCEE — regular ties can be further strengthened to share resources, leverage respective strengths and jointly explore the market.
This Yinchuan visit and exchange marks a valuable opportunity for interaction between the performing arts industries of Guangdong and Ningxia. Taking this as a new starting point, the Industry Association of South China Entertainment Equipment (SCEE) will continue to give full play to its role as an industry platform. It will forge deeper links across upstream and downstream sectors, carry out multi-dimensional communication and connections with Ningxia and the broader Northwest China, facilitate resource matching and collaboration, and realise complementary advantages. This two-way support will drive high‑quality industrial development, as both sides work hand in hand to create a new future for the sector.
